Nurse Practitioner Services

At Dignified Care, our Nurse Practitioners offer their expertise in various healthcare areas. It is essential to note that Nurse Practitioners are not funded by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). Therefore, when providing services independently, a fee-for-service structure is applied since Nurse Practitioners cannot bill OHIP for their work.

Unlike a "one issue per visit" policy, our fee-for-service model allows patients to access comprehensive care during each appointment, where they are billed based on the time and expertise provided. By choosing our independent practice, you are supporting a small business, which enables us to offer more timely appointments without the constraint of addressing one concern per visit.

Embrace the benefits of our fee-for-service approach, which allows us to provide holistic care, address multiple concerns, and prioritize your well-being during each appointment. At Dignified Care, our Nurse Practitioners are dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our valued patients.

Appointment Structure:

During your initial visit, we allocate 45 minutes to thoroughly assess and discuss your healthcare needs. Subsequent visits are scheduled for 30 minutes. If your follow-up requires more time beyond the 30 minutes, charges will apply per each additional half hour.

Billing and Coverage:

Rest assured that all laboratory tests and diagnostics are covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). As part of our fee-for-service model, you will be billed for the services and time provided during your appointments. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional care and ensure that you receive the attention and support you need throughout your healthcare journey.

Fee Structure:

Our fees adhere to the most recent recommendations of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Medical Association.

Prescription Renewals:

In general, prescription renewals necessitate an office visit to reassess the condition requiring the prescription. If you are unable to schedule an appointment for a medication review, a charge for this service may apply.

Coverage under Nursing Services:

Fees may be covered under nursing services if eligible for private benefits coverage.
